Get Involved

Our first General Meeting of the Spring semester will be held on Wednesday, January 28th from 7–8 PM. All are welcome, and we encourage you to attend to learn more about our organization and everything we have to offer.

Texas Pre-Dental Society (TPS) is proud to be the first and largest pre-dental organization at The University of Texas at Austin. As a professional organization, our mission is to support the academic, professional, and personal growth of undergraduate students pursuing careers in dentistry. TPS strives to equip its members with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and gain admission to the dental school of their dreams.

Membership in TPS comes with a variety of benefits, including access to academic resources, shadowing opportunities, leadership and committee positions, awards, community service volunteering, social events, and much more. Our goal is to ensure that each member excels academically while building lasting connections within the dental community.

In addition to these benefits, TPS hosts meetings with dental school deans, admissions committee members, and established dentists, TPS provides valuable insight into what it takes to become a competitive dental school applicant, in addition to offering members exclusive opportunities to engage directly with dental schools.

TPS also offers opportunities that no other pre-dental organization in Texas or the United States provides. These include involvement with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, as well as direct connections with local and national dental societies.

In addition to professional development, TPS is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment. We recognize that the path to dental school can be rigorous, and our community is designed to help members balance academic responsibilities while building lasting friendships and a strong support network.
